Using Transitional Expressions
· Transitional expressions or transitions signals are words that help link ideas in sentences and paragraphs together. They are like road signs that tell you the direction the writer is taking. They help you to understand and follow the writer’s thoughts and ideas better.
To add or show sequence

Writing the concluding sentence
· It is good practice to write a concluding sentence to end your paragraph
· A concluding sentence can be :- repeating the main idea using different words ;
1. a restatement of the topic sentence – repeating the main the idea using different words ;-
Ex : You need to have money to own a car.

2. a summary of the main points ;
Ex : Owning a car is not cheap because you need to pay for road tax, insurance, maintenance and petrol
|
3. or a suitable general comment.
Ex : Only people with a steady income can afford to own a car
|
