Exercise for Writing Thesis Statement

Hello everyone!! How are you today? As I promised in the last entry, I have prepared 3 different exercises on writing thesis statement. If you want to check whether you have understand it or not, you can do these exercises. If you want to get the answer, I will check it for you. 1. Jimmy is a good student.

2. It is important to tell the truth.

3. My best friend and I have many similarities.

5. There are several causes for the spread of bird flu.

Study the following statements. Which statement makes a good thesis statement ? Please tick (/) . Which one isn't a good thesis statement ? Please mark (X).

Exercise 3


Each topic below is followed by a group of sentences which deals with one main idea. Decide what the main idea is and write it in one complete thesis statement. Follow the example below.
